Car badges for sale

From time to time I will be listing Australian car badges for sale which are duplicates or otherwise surplus to my collection.

Automobile Club of Australia, RACA, very rare pre-royal badge No.351, issued before the club became the Royal Automobile Club of Australia. I would prefer to swap this badge for an RACA centenary badge (issued in 2003), but am prepared to sell it for A$700. This badge is in good condition but with some damage to the enamel on the ACA side. The enamel on the reverse is very slightly damaged and overall the metal work is excellent, but it has probably been re-plated. Click on the thumbnails for more detail. Issued sometime between 1910 and 1914, this badge has survived in remarkaby good condition. A very scarce example for the serious collector, of the first double sided ACA members' badge. Royal Automobile Club of Australia. Single sided full member's badge. This style of badge was introduced during the 1930s, presumably as an alternative to the bolt mounted double sided badge, and enabled the badge to be mounted on a badge bar. This badge is considered rare by collectors and was only issued for a relatively short time before being replaced by a smaller badge in the early 1940s. The badge is in excellent contition with an undamaged enamel centre and is available for A$495.

RACQ Patrols badge. Rare badge available only to RACQ Patrols and issued in 2005 to celebrate the 80th annivarsary of the introduction of road patrols. This was a limited edition of only 120 badges. 90mm wide x 73mm high. Price A$60.
